THE GOAL

Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley (IHC) provides medical, dental and behavioral health services in multiple clinics throughout the Santa Clara valley. IHC employs more than 120 providers which include both employee providers and contracted staff. They also provide WIC nutrition and community wellness and outreach services. IHC was incorporated in 1970 and has 10 locations.

Prior to partnering with PMG Credentialing, IHC had one dedicated employee who was responsible for managing both credentialing and provider enrollment.

IHC was looking for a partner who could help them in several specific areas including:

• Managing provider turnover which typically occurs in waves, with four leaving just prior to partnering with PMG Credentialing.

• Helping administrative staff and senior management understand the process of credentialing and provider enrollment and the timeline to to complete both..

• Managing the lengthy provider enrollment process using medical and other insurance. This includes managing enrollment in the PAVE system, which was something fairly new and is required for all professional staff who work with the resident program.
